Robert was one of the most distinguished of Victorian Trade Unionists. A Web search will produce a number of sites giving information about him. None of the ones viewed in preparation of this page mention his second marriage to Sophia Huitson, nor his given name George. It is, however, definitely the correct relationship. Try these sites:
